We used Yarnspirations newest invention to create a baby blanket that is loaded with texture and bright in colour and personality! You will need to use the crochet cable stitch technique for this one – but – if you’re just trying it out for the first time, we’ve included a few helpful video tutorials if you scroll down to the bottom of the page.

O’Go Yarn: Simple but Genius!
Measurements:
32in x 37in.
Materials:
- 4 rings of O’Go Caron Colorama in Baja (Bulky, #5) – I snagged mine from Joann and they have loads more colors to choose from
- 7.0 mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) 9 sc x 10 rows with 7 mm crochet hook
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Sc: Single Crochet
Dc: Double Crochet
Slst : Slip Stitch
St : Stitch
FPDC: Front Post Double Crochet
BPDC: Back Post Double Crochet
FPTC: Front Post Triple Crochet
Pattern:
Ch 88.
Set up rows:
1st row: (RS). 1 dc in 3th ch from hook (counts as dc). 1 dc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. (86)
2nd row: Ch 2. (*sc, dc* repeat over first 6 dc. 1 BPDC around each of next 10 dc.) repeat within () 4 more times, *sc, dc* repeat to end. Turn. (86)
Begin pattern repeat:
1st row: Ch 1. (*sc, dc* repeat over first 6 dc. 1 FPDC around each of next 10 dc.) repeat within () 4 more times, *sc, dc* repeat to end. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. (*sc, dc* repeat over first 6 dc. 1 BPDC around each of next 10 dc.) repeat within () 4 more times, *sc, dc* repeat to end. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. (*sc, dc* repeat over first 6 dc. Skip next 5 sts. *1 FPTC around next st* 5 times. Working behind sts just worked, 1 FPTC around each of 5 skipped sts) repeat within () 4 more times, *sc, dc* repeat to end. Turn.
4th and 6th rows: As 2nd row.
5th and 7th rows: As 1st row.
8th row: As 2nd row.
Repeat rows 1-8 until you achieve your desired length.
Bind off, weave in ends.
