UPDATE January 2025:
I hope that you’re enjoying your current knitting projects. It has been such a pleasure sharing my patterns with you and seeing your creativity bring them to life.
After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to no longer offer my patterns for free. This was not an easy choice—designing and sharing these patterns has always been a passion of mine and a way to connect with this amazing community.
However, the time, effort, and resources required to create, test, and perfect each pattern are significant. To continue bringing you high-quality, unique designs and to support the sustainability of my work, I will now be offering my patterns for purchase on Etsy.
I am incredibly grateful for your support over the years. Your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm mean so much to me. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my patterns and support this new chapter.
Please visit my Etsy shop HERE to view and purchase my collection.
Thank you for your understanding and for being an integral part of this journey.
Please consider purchasing this downloadable & printable version from my Etsy Shop.
Thank you,
Ashleigh
There are so many new ways I fell in love with this project. To be honest, I’ve always avoided Gingham patterns because they require so many colour changes and weaving in ends is my version of a nightmare. This time was a very different experience. I carried the yarn through the pattern in such a way that made the colour changes almost invisible. There are a few tricks to it, which we’ve detailed below, and the outcome is so WORTH IT!
Check it all out and let me know what you think!
Pattern Notes:
This pattern has 11 distinct colour blocks both horizontally and vertically. Each rectangle is 10 sts wide and 10 rows long. Each row of colour block will use two different colours and we change colours every 10 stitches WHILE carrying the yarn through the work. Don’t worry, this sounds more complicated than it actually is! I’ve created a video to help you through that part so you’ll cruise right through it.
