No joke – my mission for my friend’s baby blanket was to work a pattern that I could do while binge watching TV (as is my goal with most of my projects). So nothing too complicated but looked super elegant. This is totally it! Not only have I fallen in love with this pattern but I’m starting to see it everywhere.
Check it out, it’s a breeze!
To start: This stitch is worked up in multiples of 3+1. Ch to start –
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *sc, ch2, sk 2 ch* repeat to last 2 stitches, 2 sc, turn
Row 2: Change colour, ch3, *3dc in ch2 sp from previous row* repeat to last 2 sc, dc in last sc, turn
Row 3: Change colour, sc, *sc ch2, sk 2 ch* repeat to last 2 stitches, 2 sc, turn. That’s it! The pattern repeats row 2 & 3!
Row 4: As row 2!
Row 5: As row 3!
And so on…
See! Easy Peasy!

#SpotlightStitch follow up! Hi #friends! I received a lot of feedback that you liked the#blockstitch but that the loose ends it created was kind of a non-starter ????. I totally hear you! Check out how I’m tucking in the ends as I work up the pattern to save myself a ton of work weaving them in later! Hope this tip helps! Comment below and let me know what you think! .
