- 1 Ball 120 g / 4.2 oz, 254 meters / 232 yards of #3 Medium yarn of each – this will make approx. 4 cookies, double if making the entire set.
- Cookie: Light brown
- Icing: white/off-white

- Size 4.0 mm (U.S. G/6)

With light brown:
To start, ch 3, join with slst to first ch to create a loop.
Row 1: Ch 1, 3 hdc within loop, ch 1, turn (3 hdc)
Row 2: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 3: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (5 hdc)
Row 4: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 5: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (7 hdc)
Row 6: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 7: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (9 hdc)
Row 8: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 9: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (11 hdc)

Edging/Shaping: continue along side edge of tree (2 tr, 4 dc, 2 tr) all within side of row 9, sc in side of row 7, 6 dc in side of row 5, sc in side of row 3, 6 hdc in side of row 2, (sc, 4 hdc, sc) all within starting loop at top of tree. Continue along other side edge, 6 hdc in side of row 2, sc in side of row 3, 6 dc in side of row 5, sc in side of row 7, (2 tr, 4 dc, 2 tr) all within side of row 9, sc in first st of row 11, sl st in next 3 sts, ch 2, dc in same st as ch 2, dc in nect 3 sts (to create the trunk), bind off.

Frosting: make 1
With White:
To start, ch 3, join with slst to first ch to create a loop.
Row 1: Ch 1, 3 hdc within loop, ch 1, turn (3 hdc)
Row 2: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 3: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (5 hdc)
Row 4: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 5: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (7 hdc)
Row 6: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Row 7: 2 HDC in first st, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st, ch 1, turn (9 hdc)
Row 8: HDC in each st across, ch 1, turn
Edging: Sc in each st across to end, 3 sc in corner st, evenly space sc along the side edge, 5 sc at top in original loop created, evenly space sc along remaining side edge, 3 sc in corner st.
Bind off, leaving a long tail to attach to cookie.
Assembly:
Stack both cookies, align corners and sides. Starting at any corner, slst in BLO through BOTH cookies, continue with slst in blo in all sts in edging around. Bind off, weave in ends. Center frosting on the cookie, you should be able to see an even border of the cookie all the way around the frosting. Sew frosting to cookie with tapestry needle.
Bind off, weave in all ends and ENJOY!
