Materials:

• RedHeart Super Saver yarn in Snowflake-like colours (I choose Blue and White)
• G crochet hook

Pattern:

Snowflake #1

Begin with a magic ring

Rnd 1: 12 sc in magic ring. Join with sl st at the beginning of rnd.

Rnd 2: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 5, *skip 1 st, 2 dc in next st, ch 5* repeat 6 time. Sl st to the 3rd ch at beginning of rnd.

Rnd 3: ch 1, *ch 11 sl st in 8th ch from hook, ch 10, sl st in 8th ch from hook, ch 9, sl st in previous sl st, ch 7, sl st in previous sl st, sl st in next two ch, sl st in next sl st space, ch 7, sl st in previous sl st space, sl st in next 3 ch, 1 sc in next dc st, 3 sc in the 5ch space from previous rnd, ch 7 , 3 sc in 5 ch space from previous rnd, 1 sc in dc of previous rnd* repeat 6 times

sl st to the first ch at the beginning of round.

Snowflake #2

Begin with a magic ring

Rnd 1: Ch 4, (dc, ch 1) into circle 11 times, join with sl st in 3rd beginning chain.Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in next ch 1 sp, (ch 6, sc in next sp, ch 5, sc in next sp) 5 times, ch 6, sc in next sp, ch 2, dc in first scRnd 3: sc around dc from end of rnd 2, (ch 2, In next ch 6 sp work [2 dc, ch 4, sl st in 1st ch, tr, ch 7, sl st in 1st ch, tr, ch 4, sl st in 1st ch, 2 dc] ch 2, sc in next 5 ch sp) repeat around, ending with a sl st in the first sc made. Fasten off, weave in ends and block/stiffen as necessary.
