Mini Crochet Menorah & Dreidel Hanukkah Garland Pattern
This Mini Crochet Menorah & Dreidel Hanukkah Garland is one of those projects that works up in minutes but looks absolutely stunning strung across your mantle, entryway, or dining space. Each flat appliqué motif — mini menorahs and dreidels in classic navy, gold, and white — threads onto fairy lights or twine to create the most charming handmade Hanukkah garland. Bonus: they double as gift tags and ornaments too! 🕎✨

Why you’ll love this pattern
Each motif uses only single crochet with simple increases and decreases — no advanced techniques, no complicated colourwork. The mini menorahs and dreidels each work up to about 5 inches wide and tall, and you can make 6–8 of them for a full garland length. Want a longer garland? Just make more! The pattern also includes optional Hebrew embroidery templates if you want to add that extra festive detail to your dreidels.
As photographed, the garland uses Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn in Ecru, Indigo, and Bamboo — but any worsted weight yarn in your favourite Hanukkah colours will work beautifully.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make these as ornaments instead of a garland?
Absolutely — the motifs work beautifully as standalone ornaments, gift tags, or appliqués on other projects. The fairy lights and twine are completely optional.
How long does the garland end up?
Make 6–8 motifs with about 6 inches of slack between each one. You can easily adjust the length by making more or fewer motifs.
Do I need to know any special stitches?
No — the entire pattern uses only single crochet with basic increases and decreases. If you’re comfortable with sc, you can make this garland.
Is the Hebrew embroidery included?
Yes — the PDF includes optional Hebrew lettering templates if you’d like to embroider the traditional dreidel letters onto your motifs. It’s completely optional and looks beautiful either way!
