Easter is almost here — and this tiny flat crochet bunny might be the most versatile thing you make all season. In just 10 minutes, using Bernat Maker yarn and a 8.00mm hook, you get an adorable appliqué that you can attach to literally anything.

Free Easter Crochet Bunny

What You’ll Need

  • Bernat Maker yarn (or any bulky weight yarn)
  • 8.00mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • 1.5-inch pom pom (white or your favourite colour)
  • Stitch marker (optional but helpful)

Abbreviations

  • Ch — Chain
  • Sl st — Slip stitch
  • Tr — Treble crochet
  • Sc — Single crochet
  • Dc — Double crochet
  • Hdc — Half double crochet

Free Crochet Bunny Appliqué Pattern

Starting the body

Ch 3, sl st in first ch to form a loop.

Round 1 — Body

Ch 3, work 17 tr in the ring, sl st to top of ch 3 to close. (18 sts total)

Row 2 — Neck

Ch 1, sc in next 2 sts, turn. (2 sts)

Row 3 — Neck

Ch 1, sc in next 2 sts, turn. (2 sts)

Row 4 — Head, Ears, and Feet

Head: Ch 3, in base of ch 3 work (dc, tr). In next st work (tr, dc).

Ears: (Ch 7, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 2 sts, hdc, sc) 2 times. Sl st to base of neck to close.

Body increases: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* — repeat around body until 5 sts remain before the neck.

Feet: Ch 3, work (tr, dc, hdc) in same st, sc, sl st. Fasten off. Note: 1 st before the neck remains unworked — this is intentional for shaping.

Finishing

Press flat. Attach a 1.5-inch pom pom as the bunny’s tail — sew or glue in place.
