Crochet Floppy Sun Hat

I rushed to get this one done because the ☀️ is here for the #summer!! This is made with #raffia and comes together in a day. Time to make something for yourself now… ????! My Crochet Floopy Sun Hat is fairly simple to make once you get used to working with raffia. I’ll be honest, it took me a bit longer than expected to get comfortable with the paper texture and find a way to wrap it around my fingers easily. But stick with it, it’s so worth every minute!

Notes:

This hat is worked in the round starting from the top down and always in the back of each stitch.

Side note: Yashi is an unusual yarn which has lots of possibilities. It takes its inspiration from the Japanese art of paper folding, and has a durable, papery texture. Made of raffia and harvested from Raffia palm trees in Africa, this yarn will be ideal for making bags, hats, and home textiles.
