Simple V-Stitch Throw

Weekend plans – check! Need something to work on while you binge-watch Netflix? I got you covered. This is a super simple pattern that has a single row repeat – Yes, I said it. A single row repeat!! It doesn’t get much easier than this!

Measurements:

Approx. 52x60in

Materials:

This pattern uses Red Heart newest yarn – Sweet Home. Any size 6, super bulky yarn will also work. Just keep in mind of the gauge and yardage

· You’ll need 2 balls of each of the following colors (each ball contains 193yrds):

o Snow

o Steel

o Dark Denim

· 9.0mm Crochet Hook

· Scissors

Gauge:

7 sc, 8 rows= 4″

Abbreviations:

Ch: Chain

SC: Single crochet

DC: Double Crochet

SK: skip

Pattern:

With MC (in my case Dark Denim) ch 83

Row1: DC in 3rd ch from hook, ch1, dc in same ch, *sk 2, (dc, ch1, dc) in next ch* Repeat ** to end.

Row2: Ch 4, DC in first ch, *sk 2, (dc, ch, dc) in gap made from prior row’s (dc, ch, dc)*. Repeat ** to end.

Row 3-6: repeat row 2

Change colour now and every 6 rows. The 6-row colour section is repeated 13 times total (starting and ending with the MC).

My colour patterns were Blue>Grey>White and ending with a blue.

Bind off, weave in ends.

Border (Optional):

With MC, evenly space dc along both sides of the throw (works well to place a stitch between every row but this might change if you’re using different yarn).

Rows 1-4: Ch 3, DC in the gap between the pickup stitch row dc’s (see pick below). This will add a more textured dc border that matches well with the V-stitch pattern in the throw.

Bind off, weave in edges! EASY right?
