The Crochet Chevron Pillow Pattern

To start, ch 65.

Row 1: In second ch from hook sc2tog, sc 6, *3 sc in next ch, sc 6, sc3tog, sc 6, 3 sc in next ch*, repeat to last 8 sts, sc 6, sc2tog. Turn.

Row 2: Working in back loops only, ch 1, sc2tog, sc 6, *3 sc in next ch, sc 6, sc3tog, sc 6, 3 sc in next ch*, repeat to last 8 sts, sc 6, sc2tog. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until length measures 44 inches. The yarn stretches and you want it to be snug against the 24-inch pillow form, so plan on pulling everything into place during assembly.

Change colors every 2-3 inches for a multi-color chevron stripe, or work in solid colors for blocks. The crochet chevron pillow shown uses White as the main color with Teal and Gray accent stripes.

Assembly

1. Start by sewing the last row completed to the very first row to create a continuous round of the pattern.
2. Then stitch the side of the pillow that has all the loose ends — it’s easier to start with this side since you’ll need to tug everything into place once you get the pillow form in.
3. Make sure you tuck in all loose ends into the cavity as you sew it together.
4. Insert the pillow form, pulling the corners right into the corners of your 3-sided pillow case. It will fit snug but that’s what you want.
5. Sew up the remaining side and tuck in the last loose end. Enjoy your finished crochet chevron pillow!

Tips for the Perfect Crochet Chevron Pillow

• Count carefully: the crochet chevron pillow’s zigzag depends on the chain count being correct. Ch 65 gives 64 working stitches.
