Create 3 different looks with the same pattern! This pattern works the front and back of the pillow as two separate panels that are crocheted together. This trio is a play on texture – I am changing the yarn for each pillow and creating a unique pillow family. I’ve chosen complementary colours to create this trio and there are loads more combinations to choose from at JoAnn!

Materials:

• 2 balls of each:
• YARN A) BERNAT SYMPHONY YARN, in SEASHELL

• YARN B) BERNAT VELVET YARN, in PINK DUSK

• YARN C) BERNAT FREESIA YARN, FROSTED PINE

• 6.5 mm crochet hook

Gauge:

4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) 11 sc x 12 rows with 6.5 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations:

Ch: Chain

Sl st: Slip stitch

Sc: Single crochet

Dr: Double crochet

Decr: decrease

Bobble Stitch: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through (three loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 2 of the loops. Note that to complete the double crochet you would yarn over again and pull through the last two loops, but you are skipping that step here.

Repeat the previous step four more times so that you have five not-quite-complete dc stitches worked into the same stitch. There will be six loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all six loops. This closes your bobble crochet stitch.

Repeat row 2-11 2 more times, total 31 rows. Bind off

BACK PANEL:

With YARN A, chain 50.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *dc into next ch, sc* repeat from * to end ch 1

Row 2-31: work Seed Stitch. Bind off.

Repeat Front & Back Panel 2 more times with Yarn B and Yarn C.

Assembly:

Place front side of bubble panel facing outward on top of back panel. Starting in any corner, attach yarn by inserting hook through both panels and pulling loop through. Work 3 HDCs in the corner always working through both panels. Begin closing the pillow by following along the edge and working 1 HDC in each stitch (through both panels) across. Once you get to a corner, work 3 HDCs in the corner stitch. When you arrive at the sides of the panel, evenly space approx. 40 sts along the side.
