Litte Hats, Big Heart Project

UPDATE: Here is a link to the perfect (and adorable) crochet pattern to help you out!

Use those hooks and needles to help me contribute to a great cause! February is Heart awreness month and Kentucky needs ~1000 hats by January 4th! With your help, we can do this for them!

If you are local to Lexington or within driving distance I would be happy to supply you with any of the materials you need – hooks, needles, yarn… you name it.

If you are not in the KY area and want to help your local hospital, check out the link below. It has details by state and any other relevant information.

The American Heart Association works with hospitals’ mother-baby and neonatal intensive care units. Hats in newborn and preemie sizes are needed. They recommend simple hat patterns. While we love bows and buttons, they can come off the hats and be dangerous for little ones.

Yarn specifics:

  • Red
  • Cotton or Acrylic
