DO NOT BIND OFF BLUE YARN, YOU WILL PICK IT BACK UP EVERY ROW TO COMPLETE THE BLUE PATCH OF THE FLAG

Row 14: with blue, sc in next 7 stitches, returning back to red stitches, pick up red and finish 13 sc, change to white –

Row 15: with white, sc in next 13 sts, pick up blue and continue in st for next 7 sts

Row 16: with blue, sc in next 7 stitches, returning back to white stitches, pick up white and finish 13 sc, change to red.

Repeat Rows 13-16 until there are 13 stripes on the flag, ending with a red stripe.

Bind off and weave in ends.

With an embroidery needle, sew on stitches in the blue patch to resemble stars. I wanted a rustic look so I went for simple x but a french not would work well here also.

Enjoy!
