Thanks for the love @Yarnspirations! This project turned out to be a #WIP that I haven’t yet finished so I decided to turn this into a #SpotlightStitch in the meantime! This is a 16 row repeat where you switch between working stitches in front and back of a cable needle. It takes a bit of getting used to if you haven’t worked with a #cableneedle before but it works up quickly once you get the hand of it, promise. Check it out below!

Pattern Notes:

This pattern is worked up in multiples of 4 stitches with a minimum of 8 if you are testing a swatch). I recommend adding a boarder around the bottom and sides to prevent curling. See picture below.

Materials:

  • Bernat Wavelength in Amber
  • Size 6.5mm knitting needles
  • Cable needle

Abbreviations:

K = KnitP = Purl

Rep: RepeatP2tog = Purl next 2 stitches together

C4B = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.C4F = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.

Pattern:

Row 1: *C4B. C4F* Rep from * to end

Row 2: Purl across

Row 3: Knit across

Row 4: P across

Row 5: K across

Row 6: P across

Row 7: K across

Row 8: P across

Row 9: *C4F. C4B* Rep from * to end

Row 10:: Purl across

Row 11: Knit across

Row 12: P across

Row 13: K across

Row 14: P across

Row 15: K across

Row 16: P across

Repeat rows 1-16 until you’ve achieved your desired length, Enjoy!
