The Easiest Crochet Snowflake You’ll Ever Make

Materials Needed
- Yarn: Bernat Maker Yarn in Cream (or any color of your choice) — this is a #5 Bulky yarn: 72 % cotton, 28 % nylon; 290 m / 250 g
- Hook: 8.0 mm / US L‑11 (or size needed to achieve desired look)
- Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
- Scissors
Optional: A little fabric stiffener or a sugar-water mix to make your snowflakes hold their shape beautifully.
Free Crochet Snowflake Pattern
Round 1 (Only Round):
Begin with a magic circle.
Repeat the following sequence 6 times total:
- Ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
- Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.
- Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
- Sl st back down through the 2 remaining chains from the first ch-4.
- Work 1 sc into the magic circle to anchor the point.
→ You should now have one “snowflake arm” consisting of 3 picot-like chain extensions.
After all 6 points are complete, sl st back into the very first ch made, pull the magic circle closed tightly, fasten off, and weave in ends.
