Happy Halloween!

Welcome to the individual patterns for each of the Lil Monsters! This pattern covers the fifth pattern in the series – the Lil Mummy! Enjoy!

Here is the entire Lil Monster Pumpkin Patch!

Pattern Notes:

This pattern is written for BOTH knit and crochet! Photos were taken for one or the other but the modifications for each will be included in each costume pattern. 

First, let’s gather all the materials you’re going to need!

If you’re in the US, head to Joann! You’ll find everything you need there.

Materials:

• Crochet Hook: 6.0mm
• Knitting Needles: 6.00mm
• Tapestry needle
• Polyfill stuffing

• Floral Wire
• Googly Eyes (7 sets) – AKA Wobbly Eyes in 25mm

• Red Heart Super Saver in the following colours:
  • Pumpkin
  • Aran
  • Black
  • Spring Green
  • Cherry Red
  • Amethyst
  • Coffee

Gauge: 

Crochet: 12SC and 14 rows = 4in 

Knit: 17sts and 23 rows = 4in

Abbreviations: 

Crochet: 

SC: Single crochet

DC: Double crochet

Ch: Chain

Sts : Stitches

Slst : Slip Stitch

Rnd: Round

Knit: 

K: knit

K2tog : knit 2 together

PATTERNS:

Now let’s move on to making the universal pumpkin base!

This is a High-Level Summary but you can find the entire pattern and step-by-step instructions here!

COSTUMES:

This pattern covers the Witch costume and is written in CROCHET and KNIT

Pattern:

Yarn: Pumpkin

Pumpkin base modification: None. Please make pumpkin base and stump!

Accessories:

Wrap: Work up in Aran

Crochet:

Ch 4

Row 1: DC in 2^nd ch from hook, (DC in next SC and in last SC), ch 2, turn 

Row 2: DC in each DC until wrap is 80in

Knit:

Cast on 3 sts

Row 1: Knit to end 

Repeat Row 1 until wrap is 80in.

Assembly: 

Attach the googly eyes with the glue gun first then begin to place the wrap. 

Wrap the mummy wrap around the pumpkin similar to the photo above, making sure to partially cover the eyes for the complete look. I used a hot glue gun to to glue the wrap in place. This little guy is very touchable so I wanted to make sure that everything stayed in place. Enjoy
