Spotlight Stitch: Bean Stitch
A quick#tutorial on how to work up the #bean #stitch! This is a #simpleand #fast #crochet #pattern that adds loads of#texture. I’m using @yarnspirations #babySoftee and will use this as a boarder on my current #wip.
Abbreviations:
st Stitch(es)
ch Chain
sc Single Crochet
BS Bean Stitch
Bean Stitch (BS): Insert the hook in next st and pull up a loop, (2 loops on hook ) yo, insert in same st and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), yo insert in same st and pull up a loop (6 loops on hook), yo and pull though all 6 loops, ch1.
Pattern:
Chain an even number of stitches
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chto end. Turn.
Row 2: ch 1, sc in base of ch 1, * skip 1 sc, BS (see above) in next sc, * repeat from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, sc in last sc. Turn.
Row 3: ch 1, sc in base of ch 1, work BS in each BS to last sc, 1sc in sc. Turn.
